| “Experience golf – the Nature Coast way” Citrus Springs... the course that dispels the myth that Florida is flat.. (Take a look!) The layout and rolling terrain of the course is reminiscent of North Carolina courses. Although the course is not extremely tight, allowing you to swing away, an errant shot may be caught among century old oak trees lining each picturesque fairway. Several holes have sharp doglegs approaching elevated greens which require precise iron play. Four sets of tees allow golfers of all skill levels to enjoy this course. In July 1977, the second 9 holes, also an Almony design, were opened and featured Ken Venturi conducting a golf clinic. |
